What an amazing night we had at Firle Bonfire last night. It was an evening of celebration, tradition and community. We would like to thank everyone who came to support us.
We would like to acknowledge the disappointment caused on Saturday by the decision to postpone the event. We hope that you understand that the health and safety of everyone has to be put first.
We would also like to thank the amazing team who put this event on each and every year. They are a small team and are all volunteers. Together, they work tirelessly throughout the year organising and setting the event up.
Thank you all once again.

Welcome to Firle Bonfire
We are Firle, and we do bonfire!
Although records of Bonfire activities in Firle go back to the 1870s, the Firle Bonfire Society was reformed in 1981 to encourage and promote traditional bonfire festivities in the village. Every October, we hold an annual Bonfire Night with torchlit processions and a fireworks display in commemoration of the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605.
