Welcome to Firle Bonfire
We are Firle, and we do bonfire!
Although records of Bonfire activities in Firle go back to the 1870s, the Firle Bonfire Society was reformed in 1981 to encourage and promote traditional bonfire festivities in the village. Every October, we hold an annual Bonfire Night with torchlit processions and a fireworks display in commemoration of the discovery of the Gunpowder Plot in 1605.

Saturday, 24th October 2026 | Firle Village, East Sussex
Join us for a classic Sussex Bonfire Night. Flaming torchlit processions through the village streets, lighting of the Grand Bonfire, and our world-class fireworks display!
(Bonus: It’s the night the clocks go back, so you get an extra hour in bed to recover!)

Standard Advance: £12.50
Available from 14th September up to 24th October
On the Day: £17

Advance tickets are subject to a standard booking fee. Tickets are strictly non-refundable.

Essential Visitor Information
Parking: Free on-site parking is available in the adjacent field at Firle Park, signposted directly from the A27 and stewarded on arrival.
Disabled Parking: Dedicated accessible parking is located close to the main entry gate.
Village Access: Strictly NO parking in Firle Village. Please arrive in good time to park and secure your viewing spot before the 7:00 PM procession.
Food & Drink: A fully licensed bar and hot food/BBQ will be available throughout the night.
Facilities: Accessible and standard toilets are on-site in the event field.
Clothing: This is an outdoor rural event—please dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear.
